According to sources, Taylor "was the one to put the brakes on the relationship" because "Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection, but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up." Now that their relationship is over, Tom is reportedly "embarrassed that their relationship fizzled out."
The couple first sparked dating rumors back in June when they were spotted making out by the ocean in Rhode Island, just two weeks after Taylor famously split from Calvin Harris. Throughout their time together, the two shared a slew of sweet moments, including a PDA-filled trip to Rome.
