Cakes of all shapes, sizes and toppings graced the tables in the town centre, as bakers young and old submitted entries for the festival’s Bake Off competition.
Bakers and celebrity chefs stole the show at Woking Food and Drink Festival's third and final day on Sunday (September 4).
Cakes of all shapes, sizes and toppings graced the tables in the town centre, as bakers young and old submitted entries for the festival's Bake Off competition.
The baked-goods were judged by cake expert Claire Alexander-Brown, principal of Woking's Tante Marie Culinary Academy.
One of the youngest bakers, nine-year-old Amber Kirby, made a stunning pink and blue cake resembling an enchanted tree with pink blossom.
Star of the Great British Bake Off, John Whaite, was due to announce the winners alongside chef Rosemary Shrager at 4.45pm.
The pair, stars of ITV's 'Chopping Block', created two demo dishes of Chinese pork potsticker dumplings and Pomegranate glazed duck breast to audiences on Sunday.
Mr Whaite also signed copies of his book 'Perfect Plates in 5 Ingredients' for keen fans.
Visitors on Sunday said the day had been “really fantastic” and that it was a “real nice buzz”, with various cultural dishes on display.
